Digital Embroidery Files

All embroidery designs sold on threadmotifs.com are created and owned directly by us. We do not sell third-party designs.

When you purchase a design, you are purchasing a license to use the file — not ownership of the artwork or digitized file itself.

Your files will be available for instant download after payment is completed.

Supported formats may include PES, DST, EXP, JEF, VP3, HUS, XXX, and other machine embroidery formats listed on the product page.

It is your responsibility to make sure your embroidery machine and software support the file format before purchasing.

We strongly recommend running a test stitch before using a design on final materials. threadmotifs.com is not responsible for damage to embroidery machines, needles, threads, stabilizers, fabric, or finished products resulting from the use of our files.

All files are provided as-is.

License & Permitted Use

You may use our embroidery files for both personal and commercial projects.

You may stitch the designs onto physical products and sell those finished physical items in unlimited quantities.

You may also use the designs for gifts, client work, craft fairs, small business sales, and handmade products.

You do not need to credit threadmotifs.com when using the files.

You may install the files on up to three personal devices owned and used by you. Sharing files, accounts, or downloads with other users is not allowed.

Personalized Products

You are welcome to personalize designs for customer orders, gifts, or commercial products using names, monograms, text, or other custom elements.

Finished embroidered items may be sold commercially.

The original embroidery files, including modified or personalized versions of the files, may not be redistributed, resold, or uploaded to third-party production or Print-on-Demand systems.

What You Cannot Do

You may not resell, share, gift, copy, trade, sublicense, upload, or redistribute the digital embroidery files in any form.

You may not modify the files and resell them as new embroidery designs.

You may not upload the files to marketplaces, design libraries, apps, software tools, Facebook groups, cloud drives, or file-sharing websites.

You may not claim the digitizing, artwork, or embroidery files as your own work.

You may not trademark our designs or any close derivative versions of them.

Print-on-Demand Restrictions

The files may not be used in any system where others can extract, download, edit, or reuse the original design. Finished physical embroidered items may be sold, but the digital files themselves must remain private and under your control. So they should not be uploaded on Print on Demand websites/services.

Our embroidery files may not be uploaded to Print-on-Demand platforms, automated production services, or third-party fulfillment systems.

This includes services where designs are stored, processed, reproduced, or fulfilled by an external platform or manufacturer.

You may create and sell finished physical items embroidered by you or your business, but the digital embroidery files themselves may not be shared with production partners, uploaded to POD systems, or used in automated merchandise workflows.

Personalized & Custom Designs

We may offer personalized embroidery designs or custom text modifications on select products.

Personalized orders may include:

• names
• monograms
• initials
• dates
• custom wording
• minor design adjustments

Because personalized and custom-made files are created specifically for you, these orders are non-refundable once work has started or files have been delivered.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all custom and personalized embroidery files remain the intellectual property of domain.com.

Customers receive a license to use the finished embroidery file under the same License & Usage Rights outlined in these Terms.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of digital products, all embroidery file sales are final.

Once a digital file has been downloaded or access has been granted, refunds, returns, or exchanges are not available.

By purchasing a digital product, you agree that delivery begins immediately and waive any applicable withdrawal rights for digital content where permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

All embroidery files, stitch paths, artwork, graphics, branding, text, previews, and product materials on threadmotifs.com remain our intellectual property.

Purchasing a product gives you permission to use the design under this license agreement only. It does not transfer ownership or copyright.

Account & Website Use

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, limit purchases, suspend accounts, or block access to the website if we believe a customer is violating these terms, abusing the platform, committing fraud, or redistributing files illegally.

You agree not to use the website for unlawful activity, hacking, scraping, malware distribution, spam, or copyright infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, threadmotifs.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for that product.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes in our business, products, legal requirements, or services.
